About the classes

Cuddle & Sing is a music and movement program designed for babies and young children aged approximately 6 months to 4 years, attending together with a parent or carer.

Our classes combine live music, singing, movement, simple instruments, rhythm, sensory and imaginative play in a warm and engaging group environment.

The program is designed to be playful and enjoyable while supporting early listening, coordination, language, social interaction, motor development and parent-child connection.

Classes follow a structured session framework, with activities and expectations adapted to different developmental stages.

The role

We’re looking for teachers to lead Cuddle & Sing classes using our provided program, session structure and materials.

This is a part-time contractor role, initially approximately 3–6 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional teaching hours as the program expands.

Classes will run on weekday mornings, generally between approximately 9:30 am and 12 pm.

We want our teachers to bring their own warmth, personality and musicality to the classes while delivering a consistent, high-quality experience for children and parents.

The program

You will not be expected to create the program from scratch.

A structured program, lesson framework and teaching guidance will be provided, allowing you to focus primarily on delivering engaging, high-quality classes.

At the same time, we value the experience and ideas our teachers bring. If you have relevant expertise and would like to contribute to the development or refinement of the program, there may be opportunities to do so as separate paid work.

Participation in program development is completely optional and is not a requirement of the teaching role.

Growing with Cuddle & Sing

We’re initially launching Cuddle & Sing on the Lower North Shore and in The Hills, with plans to expand into additional Sydney locations if the initial classes perform well.

As the program grows, we hope to offer our teachers opportunities for additional classes, locations and teaching hours.

We’re looking for people who can deliver a wonderful experience for families now — and who may also enjoy growing with the project over time.
